Vision
Why Get Salty Exists
A guesthouse born from a childhood dream, rooted in Moroccan hospitality — where hosting is not a service, but a way of life.
Founder Story
Get Salty was created from a simple idea: to build a place where people feel safe, welcome, and at home. Morocco made that dream possible. Hospitality here is cultural and natural — sharing food, stories, time, and space is just part of who we are. Get Salty is an extension of that spirit.
The host is present and involved, not hidden behind a desk. Guests are welcomed personally — with mint tea, a warm smile, and a tour of the house — and encouraged to settle into the rhythm of the place. Many arrive alone and leave feeling part of a community.
“Here, you’re not just a guest passing through. You’re part of the rhythm of the house.”
Long-Term Vision
Get Salty is growing into something bigger. The vision is a multi-layered community ecosystem: the guesthouse above, and below it a ground-floor hub with a coffee shop, co-working space, event space, surf school, scooter rentals, and more — open to guests and locals alike. The rooftops will host yoga, movie nights, communal dinners, and gatherings.
This is not a plan for mass tourism. It is a plan for a place — one that grows with the community around it.
Philosophy
We believe travel should be human, slow, and meaningful. Hospitality is about presence, not performance. Community, comfort, and authenticity create the strongest experiences.
Balance is key here. Structure without restriction. Care without control. Guests have access to everything — healthy breakfasts, co-working spaces, surf and yoga, rooftops and lounges — but nothing is forced. You set your own rhythm.
Future Plans
We’re working toward opening the ground floor to the public, launching creative residencies, and building a formal volunteering programme. Guests are already invited to contribute 2–3 hours of their stay to local community activities — teaching kids, gardening, beach cleanups, painting. This deepens connection and creates real impact.
Get Salty is also committed to sustainability: filtered water to reduce plastic, recycling, greenery, and active collaboration with neighbours. We are part of the village, not separate from it.
